The university adheres to open-education strategy and actively engages in the Belt and Road Initiative, fostering partnerships with educational institutions worldwide. It collaborates with over 160 universities and organizations across more than 30 countries and regions in areas such as credit recognition, joint degrees, student and faculty exchanges, cultural exchanges, and scientific research. The university has established more than 10 international academic and research platforms and two Sino-foreign cooperative education programs approved by the Ministry of Education. It is a member of the China-Russia Alliance of Education Universities and the Eurasia-Pacific Uninet, and has been selected as a partner in the China-Arab University 10+10 Cooperation Plan (youth talent development area) and the China-Africa University Alliance (cultural exchange area). The university has also co-established three Confucius Institutes abroad, including the Confucius Institute at the University of Antananarivo, which has been recognized as a  Model Confucius Institute. The university is a designated institution for Chinese Government Scholarships, Jiangxi Provincial Government Scholarships, and International Chinese Teacher Scholarships, attracting students from over 40 countries and regions.
